Your young artist will love sharing his or her talents with friends for a special occasion.  Parties include a choice of two projects with time for refreshments.  Turn our studio into your home away from home, with no mess to clean up.  Call to reserve your date - (818)343-6843.

 

 

 

Class Descriptions

ACRYLIC PAINTING

7 & up

1½ hour class

$80.00/month

 Class for beginning and intermediate levels in impressionistic and/or contemporary painting. Learn to start and finish a painting by working with sponge techniques as well as various brush strokes and learn color harmony.

Acrylics for Home Schoolers gives the student the entire morning to spend at the studio.
MOSAICS

13 & up

1½ hour class

$80.00/month

 Class designed to teach mosaic application on a variety of surfaces, including thrown bowls and platters created by each individual student.  Woodworking supplies are available.  Glass fusing will be introduced.

 
WONDER OF CLAY

6 & up (adults welcome)

1½ hour class

$80.00/month

 Give your child an opportunity to explore his own creativity while developing motor skills at the same time. This is a great chance for enrichment working with clay.  Hand-building, slab, and of course wheel-throwing.

For Family Night Clay, parents are invited to sign up with their children for a truly relaxing and creative time together.
ART & SPECIAL ED - A FORMULA FOR SUCCESS

Workshop for teachers

 

 

 At each meeting, review will include sensitivity through art projects, including  crafts and a myriad of techniques to encourage artistic expression. Class discussion will review educational reform, including Chanda Smith and building self-esteem.

"You can't do one without the other" - FOR HOME SCHOOLERS

4 & up (adults welcome)

2½ hour class

$120.00/month

 Five sessions are available.
  • Science - introduction to insects and reptiles.   Hands on care, illustrating, and learning about habitats.
  • Mathematics - visual perception, visual memory, and   skills in proportion, design, and perspective. Tesselations will be introduced.
  • Social Studies - understanding cultures and art forms from around the world
  • English - computer skills including spell-checkers, TextHelp,  grammar games, and illustrations
  • Reading - all aspects of making a book, including "kidwriting", story web, draft, revising, printing, binding, and illustrations.
